Genetic algorithm is the direction I would like to walk inJumping creature water creature water creature on land.

The goal is to take it out of the graphic world into the physical world.

First iteration of the idea was to build a Karl Sims like creature using certain properties (like box2D) that would allow it to be easily recreated physically (Wight, size, rectangular shapes, rotational movement that derives from the main body). The next phase will be the actual fabricating of the final generation of that creature. Making it from boxes and small motors, creating also the obstacle given in the sketch.

SimsTo simplify the physics side I thought maybe I could instead come up with the recipe of how to build the final generation. An algorithm that will list the materials and electronics of the generation to be build.

The next iteration of the idea was to use the evolution generations in a physical object. Instead of changing the physical properties of an object (things that will be difficult to obtain like change of dimensions, weight etc), I will change the variables properties like motor speed and direction. It will be easier to use an existing object like a toy car or a even a drone… The obstacle needs to be something that changes otherwise the end result will remain.

Whats the next step of design? Can computers take part in the thinking process? Are we ready to allow computers be a part of the creative process? Is creativity measurable? Can we integrate technical properties of our design with what we conceive as beautiful? Is it measurable?

forward in design, manufacturing and 3D printing. One of the largest issues with 3D printing is the lack of design skills and lack of inspiration that many people experience. They want to make something that is perfect for them but do not know how. Will machines fill the gap and design for us? Also, John Connor, are you out there?

Maybe I can make a mix of factors some by user some by computer
Armor design with surface directed to the sun with high mutation rate and styles connected to famous designers? maybe feed it moood board?
