Time machine

Growing from the sextant project, I encounter the concept of time manipulated by objects. Specifically the past, and how objects can throw you to a different time (possibly the future?), even though the memories related to the object are not your own.

I’m working on daily experiments of the time machine theme.
The first experiment is – Objects as Time machines. Is ANY object a time machine? How are all these objects time machines?

s this a time machine that freezes moments and stores them?

Books tell stories. Stories are sometimes a tell of past, other times fiction. Is fiction a story in a possible time which could be looked at as parallel time? Narratives is the principal way in which our specie organizes its understanding of time (H. Porter abbott.

Is this a time machine as window to a past or a parallel time?

second experiment is Acting time, using my lovely girlfriend (who tends to become my subject of different experiments). In this one, I will try to play with conception of time by faking a manipulation of time (time is frozen/faster/slower) for a few seconds in situations of interaction with her. I will write about acting time change and about her reactions.

A third experiment is an internet time travel machine. How did Google search looked in 2002? What did wikipedia take off its site that was there 5 years ago? How did your site looked before that big change you made?

The internet archive is a non-profit library of millions of (free) books, movies, software, music, and more that has the goal of offering permanent access to historical collections that exist in digital format. As a part of that it is also an archive of websites. As websites often change, content is being taken off and added, design changes, some even get shut – this association took upon itself to make a record of the digital past. Using their open source API, I made a tool that allows you to take a glimpse to content that no longer exist. Go on a Time-travel quest now!
