Server side backend

This is a site meant to help ITP students (or DIY people) to share and find places to get materials for their project. It is based on a program iMaterial which was written in processing as an extension which allow people to find places to purchase materials based on reviews of other people.

How do you choose a material for your project? Where do you get it? Who can you ask?

Below is a wire frame of the site, showing how after exploring and investigating a material (on iMaterial which is the home page), a user can find that same material in his area or on the web from places recommended by other ITP students. Click here if you can’t preview the wire frame.

This system require a server that can store and withdraw data based on a client request.

Using servi I created a server that will store all the reviews and ratings of a user basing on a form a user will fill and submit about a store he visited, to help other people. In case store already exists in the database, a user can just rate and add your own review and project that he used with this material. This information will is stored in a database and will be accessible to other users through a material exploration (with iMaterial) or by a simple search (through different ways like: category/name search/list all etc).
